We recently moved in to our new offices and all this space makes it glaringly obvious just how badly we needed to expand!
We had been in our last space (two 550 sq-ft bays) for 33 years, and you might say we looked like a 5 lb ham in a 3 lb bag. With our Instant Plumbing team (nine plumbers, three apprentices, two parts guys, two administrative staff and of course our owner, George), plus all our parts inventory, we had expanded to the point where it was simply time to move.
We took possession of the new space, which is a sprawling 4400 square feet (including mezzanine), on November 2nd and spent that month moving. By November 23rd we were up and running!
In this building we have office space for all the guys, a lunch area, a gathering area, board room, front reception and two more administrative offices on the main floor.
So what will we do with all the space? Well, it will allow us to grow, and to operate more efficiently. We have room to hire more people and streamline how we operate. We simply couldn’t do that in the old space.
